Febs. Birchbox

I have been debating doing away with Birchbox, but thank goodness I did not!

For when I opened this months birchbox I jumped for joy when I spotted the every so lovely pink sponge!

Some of you may be wondering "why all the excitement over a sponge that you could wash a dish with?"

*that would of course be a sin*

Well the hot pink sponge, beauty blender, is the ultimate make up sponge that guarantees a flawless finish. Now one beauty blender retails for  $19.95 and many of you know Birchbox is a $10 subscription...so everything else that came in the box was an extra.

I got some odd tattoo eyeliner...that my sister will be given

Concealer...nice and creamy

spicy chocolate...lasted three minutes

So once again I have been won over by the people of Birchbox

hopefuly March is just as good!

The time has come once again

For 8th graders to take the FL writes this Tuesday!

My bet is that the prompt will be persuasive, but I could be wrong. I just hope the prompt is not something ridicules to write an essay on. I am not a fan of tricking students!

My 8th graders and myself have been incredibly busy preparing for this test all year. I feel that they have come a loooong way since August and are ready to take the test.

Just like last year 7th and 6th graders made cards to each 8th grader encouraging them and wishing them good luck this Tuesday. The cards are very thoughtful and contain sentences like this:

"You encouraged me all last year and now it is my turn to encourage you"

"I don't even know why you have to take the test, they should know you are the world's best writer!"

Please pray for all FL 4th, 8th and 10th graders as they write their essays on Tuesday! Pray that they retain all that they have learned and perform to their true potential.

Weekend update

Time has been ticking away and of course there is little of it to spare.

Due to the lack of writing here I will just substitute the silence with pictures

Another perspective

One day without shoes is approaching, April 10th, giving you the opportunity to spread awareness. Spending one day without shoes may seem odd, but there are people that have no other option. So on April 10th ditch your shoes to gain perspective on how others live their daily life...shoeless.
