Everyday Love

I honestly love what I do! Even on the not so amazing days I still enjoy my job. Yes, there are moments where I am absolutely exhausted, but the outcome is worth it!

Teaching middle school students with disabilities is the most rewarding job!

Truth be told if I would have known that I would end up teaching middle schoolers I would not believe it! Teaching middle school was no where near were I wanted to teach.

In fact, I thought that there should be an island that all middle school age kids should go and can only come off the island when they are no longer in the awkward stage in life!

Well the Lord heard my thoughts and softened my heart towards middle schoolers! I love them! They are so much fun and willing to soak up knowledge! This is going to be an amazing year with my students!!!

Vote Happiness

Have you ever eaten outside and observed birds feasting over the littlest scrap? They do not seem to care that they are eating from the floor or that it is a little cold. Birds seem overjoyed that they found left over food from someone else and yet we would stick up their nose at the thought of eating after someone we do not know.  How strange would it be if humans would take delight in the same thing that birds do?

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
 Matthew 6: 25-34

I cried a little...

When I came across these wonderful finds on Etsy. I love looking at all the creativity that seeps out of Etsy, truely inspiring!  The artisit below takes vintage dictionary pages and compines them with illistrations to create these wonderful prints. I feel in love with the Alice in Wonderland and vintage camera!

Goodbye Whiteness

I obtained a white shelving unit from my Aunt a couple years back and never really did anything with it except load it up with books! Well with the move and all coming up in a week I decided to give this little shelf a make over!

The colors were chosen due to my recent love of yellow and grey. I was a little worried that the grey was too dark and the yellow to bright, but I added some white//which in all reality I do not think it did anything, but it made me feel like it lightened up a bit//

Lets Get

Urban Decay came out with a beautiful palette of neutral eye shadows! Naked palette was released online in June and hit stores in August. I have not ventured out to see one in person, but plan on making a trip!  Side note: the price ($44) is not too bad considering you get 12 colors and 2 bonus items

70 mph

The other day my mom was commenting on how when she was little the speed on the interstate was 50 and now it is 70//well at least you are supposed to go that speed//  This led to discussing why the change in acceleration...

Cars have certainly made some improvements in the last couple of decades

Interstates are smoother and wider

Or perhaps people are in a rush to go places and check things off there list of to dos. We rush around and barely have time to enjoy the simple things. What is going to happen when we eventually slow down and realize how much we have missed? Is it more important to accomplish tasks or enjoy the simple things God has in store for us?

Word Wise

I can not completely remember where this idea came from, but none the less it's a good one!
OBJECTIVE: obtain a canvas, buy a old book, decoupage, brush, rip out pages of book, lay out pages so they are visually pleasing start assembling. Once everthing is dry stamp on the phrase
//Knowledge is POWER//

I plan on displaying this little work somewhere in my classroom
